Engage in continuous learning to deepen professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions in organizational change and leadership, project management, and adult learning to improve professional practice

During the learning in the DEL program, I realized that sustained learning to deepen professional knowledge, coaching skills are important for tech coaches who encourage teachers to take the risk to try new teaching methods using technology tools and take the leadership of school’s technology integration program. With the rich and solid professional knowledge and skills, the tech coach can support teachers to initiate and implement creative ideas into classes to enrich students learning experience.

In my blog: Supporting and Sustaining Successful Coaching, I explained the skills and knowledge the tech coach needs to deepen and strengthen which can help to provide teachers the best solution to achieve different learning goals to improve student learning outcomes. How to build trust with teachers, how to anchor teachers’ different needs and preferences, how to release teachers reluctant and resistant when they pilot new technology tools… are all skills the tech coach needs to master from continuous professional learning. In this blog, I also brought up some good resources that can help tech coaches to exchange experiences with peers and refresh their professional knowledge and skills to keep growing up.
