The EdTech person needs to model teachers to integrate technology with pedagogy in a smart way to accelerate student learning.

In my blog: Defining and Implementing 21st Century Learning, I brought up the topic that how we can prepare our students for the 21st century. I explained that the technology coaches should deepen pedagogical knowledge to help teachers integrate technology in effective and meaningful ways to promote student cognition level rather than using technology for its own sake. They need to continue learning in instructional strategies and model teachers how to use the strategies to choose the appropriate technology and assess technology integration, such as Triple E Framework, Pedagogy Wheel, SAMR Model, to meet Student and Teacher’s Standards. Technology is the secret ingredient for learning only when teachers integrate it with pedagogy to empower student learning.

In the 21st century, digital technology is changing teaching and learning rapidly and constantly. Technology coaches should keep learning and deepen the latest technology integration knowledge to support teachers using technology as effective tools to enrich content learning and choose the appropriate digital tools to meet the pedagogical purpose.
