During learning in the Seattle Pacific University Digital Educational Leadership Master’s Degree program, I had emerging ideas about learner-centered instructional strategies and differentiate learning for my school’s BYOD context. In order to address the diverse needs and interests of students I brought up Flipped Classroom as the instructional strategy for BYOD program. We want to see more and more students use their own digital devices in creative and meaningful ways to drive autonomous learning to meet personal learning goals and interests. Flipped Classroom can be used to foster students to be self-efficient and gain more agency in learning. And appropriate digital tools adopted in Flipped Classroom can facilitate to meet student different readiness levels.
In my blog: Flipped Classroom and In-Class Flipped Classroom– Ready for Independent Learning, I explained the requirements and challenges of this strategy and also brought up the extended idea of In-Class Flipped Classroom strategy which can be used as the first step of Flipped Classroom. In this blog, I introduced a digital tool can be used for student differentiate learning. It can support teachers to embed driven questions and quiz to adjust content and learning process to meet student different learning styles, personal goals and interests. Teachers also can master student learning achievement from the formative report and provide feedbacks immediately to support every student to reach the final learning goal.
